The medical centers affiliated with Al-Gad Foundation for Development and Relief work to try to provide medical services of all kinds to the refugee and displaced community through cooperation with the Relief Office in conducting assessment and case study operations to provide assistance with the costs of medicines and medical analyses or referrals to specialized hospitals to perform surgical operations at reduced costs based on concluded cooperation protocols, in addition to fully or partially bearing the cost of some operations for the most needy families.
 

The Pregnant and Lactating Women Project, supported by the World Food Programme, through Al-Ghad Medical Clinics at its Haram and 6th of October branches.
Al-Gad Foundation continues to implement its Pregnant and Lactating Women Project with the support of the World Food Program (WFP), through Al-Gad Medical Clinics in its branches in Haram region , October city, . The project is dedicated to providing comprehensive, well-structured healthcare for beneficiaries of all nationalities, with a special focus on ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency for pregnant women and children under the age of two. Over the past three months, the project has delivered 1,597 pediatric consultations and conducted 989 laboratory tests,in all clinics, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to closely monitoring and safeguarding the health of its beneficiaries. Services continue to be offered on a regular basis through the October and Haram clinics.

Syria Al-Gad Foundation is currently implementing a project for breastfeeding and pregnant women. This project is supported by the World Food Program. Through Al-Gad Medical Clinics in both October and Haram clinics The project aims to provide people with quality and comprehensive health care,and focusing on achieving the highest levels of quality and efficiency ,for pregnant women and infants up to the age of two. the project is still ongoing.

First Aid, Nursing, and Elderly Care Training.
Funded by the European Union and under the project “Enhancing Access to Primary Healthcare for the Most Vulnerable Populations in Egypt,” Syria Al-Gad Foundation conducted first aid and nursing training sessions during July. The trainings covered fundamental nursing principles, elderly care, and emergency first aid, aiming to build participants’ capacity in basic nursing and medical care for their families. They also provided the essential skills and knowledge for rapid intervention in medical emergencies to save lives and minimize complications from incidents such as burns, choking, or fractures. Additional practical skills included administering injections, measuring blood pressure, and dressing and suturing wounds. The sessions were attended by refugees of diverse nationalities including Syrians, Sudanese, Eritreans, and Yemenis across various age groups in the 6th of October and Giza areas.

Friendly Clinics Project in Collaboration with Plan International
The Friendly Clinics Project was presented by Plan International in collaboration with the Sixth of October office staff. The project served as a survey to identify the community’s needs for reproductive health awareness and the necessity of having friendly clinics at the foundation’s facilities in the October and Obour areas. It emphasized the positive impact such initiatives have on families and the community. Additionally, more than 8 women, 4 young men, and 4 young women were interviewed to discuss this topic. Their suggestions and opinions were heard, highlighting their strong cooperation and positive engagement with the initiative.

Medical Procedures
By the grace of God, two medical cases were supported at a total cost of 79,000 Egyptian pounds. The first case is for a child named Al-Amir, who will undergo open-heart surgery tomorrow morning, Thursday, at a cost of 70,000 EGP. The second case is for Ms. Bashira, who underwent a mastectomy today due to a malignant tumor, at a cost of 9,000 EGP. We pray for God’s guidance and success.

Assistance for an Open-Heart Surgery Patient
Thanks to God, the foundation has been very active recently in providing support for medical procedures. The latest case involved a necessary open-heart surgery for a man in his fifties, who reached out to the foundation after losing access to financial means. The surgery cost approximately 65,000 Egyptian pounds, and an official invoice was issued. The patient was visited at home two days later to check on his condition. By God’s grace, his health stabilized, and he was discharged to his home after spending a full week in the hospital.

Official Visit by Representatives of the International Organization for Migration to Al-Ghd Relief Foundation in Obour City
Al-Ghd Relief Foundation welcomed representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Egypt on Tuesday, March 8, at its headquarters in Obour City. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, members of the executive management, several board members, and department directors. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation and coordination between both parties. Discussions focused on ongoing humanitarian efforts and explored opportunities for future joint initiatives to support the most vulnerable groups. Both sides also exchanged views on key challenges and examined ways to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of relief and development programs. The Foundation expressed its appreciation for the role of IOM in Egypt, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships in a way that contributes to improving the living conditions of beneficiaries and expanding the scope of humanitarian response.

.Signing of a Medical Protocol between Syria Algad Foundation and the Arab Doctors Union
Syria Algad Relief Foundation signed a cooperation protocol with the Arab Doctors Union as part of the Home Healthcare Program. The program aims to provide medical follow-up and care for patients confined to their homes, whose health conditions prevent them from visiting hospitals or healthcare centers. It includes offering medical consultations, regular monitoring of patients’ health, and providing necessary medications and procedures to ensure quality care and patient comfort, in addition to educating families on home care practices and offering psychological support to patients and their families.
