Al-Gad Foundation for Development and Relief provides essential and emergency support to refugees and displaced populations across Egypt. Through its community-based offices, the foundation applies a comprehensive case management system to deliver psychosocial support and financial assistance tailored to individual needs, with special attention to the elderly and women-headed households.
From rapid crisis response—including the distribution of food, clothing, and school supplies—to consistent monthly assistance for the most vulnerable, Al-Gad is committed to ensuring both immediate stability and long-term well-being for the communities it serves.

Registration is still open at Syria Al-Ghad Educational Center for the new academic year 2025–2026 (Languages & Arabic tracks).
From KG and preparatory levels up to الثانوية (secondary stage) (both languages and Arabic sections).
With a trained and specialized teaching staff, under Syrian-Egyptian management.
Separate classes are available for boys and girls starting from Grade 6 (primary stage).
Preparatory and secondary stages for both boys and girls are held in the morning, with qualified teachers and ideal class sizes.
What’s new for 2025:
Official student registration with certified documents, records, and success certificates approved by the Ministry of Education.
Exams are held at the center for both Egyptian and Syrian nationalities.
We welcome you daily from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The academic year begins at the start of September 2025.

During the month of giving, the values of generosity and solidarity are renewed.
Tomorrow’s Syria Relief Foundation, in cooperation with the Muslim World League, distributed Ramadan vouchers to Syrian, Palestinian, and Sudanese families in Egypt. The distribution covered Obour City, 6th of October City, Giza areas, and 10th of Ramadan City.
Each family received two vouchers with a total value of EGP 2,000, redeemable at Carrefour stores.

A special event for Palestinian children titled (Unbreakable Bonds) in collaboration with PCRF.
Al-Gad Foundation in collaboration with PCRF organized a special event for Palestinian children titled “Unbreakable Bonds.”
The event brought together 300 participants, including 210 children, and featured a wide array of entertaining activities that created an atmosphere of joy and excitement. Children enthusiastically took part in interactive competitions, while a dazzling Tanoura performance captivated the audience with its vibrant colors and energy. A clown show added laughter and smiles to the children’s faces, and a traditional Palestinian Dabke performance brought heritage to life, evoking a sense of pride and cultural connection among the children and their families.
The celebration also included henna art for the children’s hands and cheerful face painting.
At the end of the day, gifts were distributed to all children, leaving lasting smiles on their hearts.

World Refugee Day activity.
On World Refugee Day, we come together not only to tell stories of pain, but to write together new chapters of hope and convergence. Because asylum is not the end of the road, but a new beginning full of determination and dignity and the search for a homeland within hearts.
In celebration of this deep humanitarian occasion, Al-Gad Foundation organized an activity, which was attended by 60 people of Syrian, Palestinian and Sudanese families, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. as part of the Foundation's plan to provide psychological support to families affected by wars.
This activity represents a painting of cultural diversity and true integration. There were distinctive activities such as the children's swimming , various competitions and questions that brought together the three cultures in an atmosphere of joy, interaction, and getting to know different traditions.

Syria Al Gad Relief Foundation is pleased to start implementing the project “Disbursing orphans’ allowances to Syrians in Egypt” in cooperation with the Muslim World League - Executive Affairs Agency - Egypt Office, which was the supporter for this project, on November 22, 2021 at the headquarters of Syria Tomorrow Foundation - October office and Al Obour office. The project will be completed on Wednesday 24/11/2021 in Damiatt area. The project includes 136 Syrian orphan families in October, Al Obour and their environs, and Damiatt. The total amount of the project is 895,000 Egyptian pounds. We were very pleased to put a smile on the faces of the orphaned children. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the completion of this work.

Meat Portion Distribution Project in October City
As part of the distributions and family assistance, one of the donors contributed a sacrificial animal weighing approximately 26 kg. It was distributed among 17 families, with each family receiving a portion of about 1.5 kg.
The families were selected by the Social Research Committee based on specific criteria, the most important being orphaned families who do not benefit from food assistance provided by the UNHCR.
This distribution took place on Monday, January 7, 2020.

Phase One of the Emergency Response Project
By the grace of God, the first phase of the Emergency Response Project for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic has been completed, with 1,250 food aid packages distributed.
The project introduced a new approach for the foundation, using a unified phone number to receive calls and requests. More than 15 staff members and volunteers worked to update the data of all callers, assess the families’ situations, and determine their eligibility for the project.
The project stood out by reaching truly needy families and delivering aid directly to their homes, leaving a positive impression on all beneficiaries. Follow-up calls were also made to families who could not be reached initially due to high call volumes during the first days of the project.
God willing, today we will begin the second phase of the project, which includes providing assistance to 2,100 families using a new system. The project is expected to consist of three phases.

Distribution of Meat Portions at the October Office
As part of the aid targeting those affected by the COVID-19 crisis, the Sixth of October office prepared a list of 35 families after assessing their situation through the Social Research Committee (social visits and case studies conducted by phone) to receive a meat portion of approximately 2 kg per family.
The total weight of the distributed portions reached about 70 kilograms. The selected families were contacted and the distribution was carried out following proper preventive measures.

Livelihood Support Project
After completing several stages of the Livelihood Support Project with CRS at the Sixth of October office, the final stages of the project began today, Friday, July 10, including:
Distribution of training attendance certificates
Distribution of transportation allowances
Distribution of mobile SIM cards
Distribution of 13 tablets
Distribution of boxes containing sanitizers and cleaning supplies
The final number of beneficiaries is 140, with distributions scheduled for 70 beneficiaries per day.
The office was also prepared and sanitized to receive beneficiaries safely, with all necessary hygiene and protective measures provided, including masks, alcohol, and similar items.

“Eid Joy” Project in Obour City
The Obour office implemented the “Eid Joy” project, distributing aid to approximately 450 families who completed their forms through the project’s online link. The distribution took place at the Obour office from July 26 to July 30, with all necessary preventive measures observed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Fitting of a Prosthetic Limb
Assistance worth 39,000 Egyptian pounds was provided for the fitting of a prosthetic leg for a young man who had a poorly functioning prosthesis that caused him constant infections and prevented him from working. His case had been monitored for several months. The support was provided through the Islamic Relief Organization, which covered half of the cost, while the foundation secured the other half through donations.

Orphan Student Sponsorship Project at Al-Ulaa Educational Center
As part of its developmental and relief projects, the Al-Gad Relief Foundation partnered with Al-Ulaa Educational Center to sponsor orphaned students or students effectively considered orphans, providing educational support due to the mothers’ limited financial means to educate their children.
The school submitted a list of 30 student names to the foundation’s administration. The administration then forwarded these names and the students’ details to the Social Research Committee to assess their situations, visit their families, and evaluate their financial conditions. A complete report on the status of each family was prepared.
The total value of the educational sponsorship amounted to 192,000 Egyptian pounds per year.

The Annual Iftar Ceremony – 2019
The team of Al-Gad Relief Foundation demonstrated remarkable creativity and excellence in organizing this year’s annual iftar event.
The tremendous efforts made, along with the spirit of unity and cooperation among الجميع, resulted in a truly outstanding outcome that set an example to follow. The event benefited حوالي 750 individuals from Syrian families in need in Cairo, in addition to the حضور of the foundation’s partners and friends from both international and local organizations, as well as distinguished guests.
Amid the Egyptian atmosphere along the banks of the Nile and the authentic Syrian ambiance, enhanced by the performances of the Abu Shaar Brothers band and their unique chants, smiles were drawn on the faces of the attendees. Through games, various activities, gifts, competitions, and an enjoyable program, joy was brought to the hearts of children and their families.
The event also included honoring the Abu Shaar Brothers band in recognition of their efforts in making this event a success and for their excellence.
Approximately 70 staff members and volunteers of the foundation contributed to this success. The event took place at the Social Center of Cairo University on Thursday, May 22.

Insulin Pen Distribution in Partnership with MedGlobal.
On Thursday, December 26, 2024. Al-Gad Foundation for Development and Relief distributed insulin pens in cooperation with Med Global organization. It targeted individuals of various nationalities who had pre-registered through a previously announced link. Eligible recipients received 9 insulin pens each from a total of 1386, after medical record verification, with on-site medical professionals. Farha Project 1
With the grace and success of God, a joyful and well-organized wedding ceremony was held for six couples as part of “Farha Project 1,” which has been underway for over five months. The event took place at the Plaza Club Hall in Obour City. The celebration featured a performance by the esteemed Abu Shaar Brothers band, a presentation by the entertainer “Abu Ali Al-Souri,” and the participation of the couples’ families and loved ones. The ceremony also included heartfelt speeches from the foundation’s staff. “Emergency Response Project”
Food Voucher Project
2,000 food vouchers, each worth 300 Egyptian pounds, with a total value of 600,000 Egyptian pounds, provided by the International Authority for Relief, Care, and Development. This project is part of a package of emergency response initiatives aimed at alleviating part of the financial burden faced by families under the current circumstances (the COVID-19 pandemic).
On Tuesday, June 9, the distribution of 267 vouchers was completed. Families were scheduled over three days at specific, organized times to ensure safety, while implementing all preventive measures such as sanitization and wearing masks.
The October Office team also contacted the targeted families in parallel with the distribution process. The office reached out to 2,000 families and organized their collection times across the remaining targeted areas.

In collaboration with the Muslim World League's office in Egypt, Syria Algad Relief Foundation launched a financial sponsorship project for Syrian orphans. The project utilizes checks issued by Misr Bank and has been distributed to 48 pre-registered orphans residing in various locations across Egypt, including Giza, 6th of October City, Damietta, and Obour city.
We hope this initiative will provide much-needed support and alleviate some of the hardships faced by those orphans who have lost one or both parents.
