In cooperation with the European Union, Al-Ghad Foundation conducted nursing and first aid training sessions focused on improving the handling of medical cases and raising health awareness within the local community.
Each training lasted three days and included both theoretical and practical components. The nursing training covered topics such as intramuscular and intravenous injections, blood sampling, wound suturing, animal bite management, blood sugar measurement, blood pressure and pulse monitoring, temperature measurement, allergy testing, stitch removal, and oxygen administration.
The first aid training included emergency response skills such as venous access and vital signs assessment, administration of different types of injections, burn management, wound care and internal bleeding, sample collection and IV fluids, food poisoning cases, diabetes management, fracture handling and splinting, heart attacks, fainting and recovery positioning, drug overdose poisoning, resuscitation, allergy testing, seizures, nosebleeds, and choking emergencies.
These trainings are ongoing to reach a larger number of participants and increase community awareness. Each training was repeated four times, reaching approximately 160 participants so far. In addition, a medical lecture was conducted, benefiting 80 participants.
