Educational Sector

To provide a safe learning environment for children within host communities, Al-Gad Foundation has established non-profit educational centers in Obour City, El-Shorouk, 6th of October, and 10th of Ramadan. These centers offer both traditional and non-traditional educational programs, along with psychosocial support for students affected by conflict and educational disruption.

This work is especially critical as a large percentage of school-aged refugee children in Egypt remain out of school due to residency challenges, complex enrollment procedures, and documentation requirements. By addressing these barriers, the foundation ensures that vulnerable families—including newly arrived households—can access the educational support they need.

The Start of a New Academic Year at Little Hands Kindergarten

This was the first day at Little Hands Kindergarten, where the children were welcomed in an atmosphere full of love and joy. All preventive measures were taken to ensure the safety of the children. May this new academic year be filled with optimism and hope.

“Little Hands” Song

On the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday, the children of Little Hands Kindergarten expressed their love for the Prophet Muhammad through a song they performed titled “O My Beloved, O Muhammad.”

Cultural Corner Activity

Inspired by Al-Mutanabbi’s saying, “The best companion among people is a book,” and recognizing that books are the foundation of civilization, food for thought, and fuel for progress, the Cultural Corner in our library launched the “Awake Minds” project. Students watch a video about the importance of libraries and books. At the end of the session, the children write a pledge to the library and books, promising to appreciate their value and apply what they have learned, and then hang it on the branches of the library’s tree.

The Annual Ceremony of Syria Al-Ghad Educational Center

With outstanding organization and great efforts, Al-Gad Educational Center held its mid-year ceremony on Saturday, الموافق 15/2/2020. In an atmosphere filled with warmth and excellence, the event featured a wide variety of performances in which many children and students participated, delivering wonderful shows that brought smiles to the guests’ faces and joy to their hearts. Outstanding students were also honored, along with the top achievers in Qur’an memorization.

Safe Homes Initiative.

With the support of Plan International and Samsung, Syria Algad Relief Foundation inaugurated the “Safe Space” project in 6th of October City on the morning of Monday, May 15. The project aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for children, combining recreation, education, and life skills development. It also seeks to enhance their mental and social well-being, discover their talents, and nurture their creative abilities, contributing to the development of a confident generation capable of facing future challenges.

Plato’s Methodical Initiative

In an atmosphere full of play and fun, the child’s abilities are nurtured, talents are fostered, life skills are developed, and the spirit of teamwork is strengthened, in addition to enabling the child to interact with others and build self-confidence, all within the “Plato Methodology” course.
